Joining the Missouri Clean Energy District
Summary
The proposed bill will repeal Ordinance Number 69056 concerning the City's participation in the Property Assessment Clean Energy Act. A new clean energy board, the Missouri Clean Energy District, was created in January 3, 2011 to expand participation in the PACE. The bill will enable the City to join the Missouri Clean Energy District in order to provide an additional authorized entity through which owners of property within the City may obtain financing for energy efficiency improvements or renewable energy improvements to their property pursuant to Missouri's Property Assessment Clean Energy Act, Missouri Revised Statutes §67.2800 to §67.2835. The bill establishes steps to be taken by the City in connection therewith and prescribes the activities such District may conduct in the City as a member of such District.
