Amendment to Article XVI of the City’s Charter
Summary
This ordinance would submit to the qualified voters of the City a proposed amendment to Article XVI of the City's Charter to require the Board of Estimate and Apportionment to hear public comment on any matter before it may vote on the matter except for matters that relate to the board's own rules for its proceedings. The Board of Estimate and Apportionment would be allowed to vote on matters at the same meeting it hears public comment on the matter. The proposed amendment would be on the ballot for the November 2, 2021 election.
