Youth Empowerment Services (YES) Program
Summary
The purpose of this ordinance is to authorize the Director of the Department of Public Safety or his designee, on behalf of the City of St Louis, to enter into and execute a U.S. Department of Justice Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) to receive $450,415.00 in such grant award funds. The ordinance appropriates the awarded funds and authorizes the Department of Public Safety or his designee to spend the program funds for approved purposes, for the Youth Empowerment Services (YES) program, the Family Court, Juvenile Division Night Watch program, and legal support in the Problem Properties program. The ordinance contains an emergency clause.
