Making Aldermen Full Time Positions
Summary
The Board Bill would submit to the qualified voters of the City of St. Louis a proposed amendment to the charter of the city of St. Louis repealing Section 1 of Article IV of the Charter of the City of St. Louis relating to the composition of the board of aldermen. It would enact in lieu thereof a new section relating to the same subject matter; providing that the board's president and all alderpersons shall be employed in such roles on a full-time basis. It contains an emergency clause.
