Chapter 99 Redevelopment Plan for the 909 Chestnut St. Redevelopment Area
Summary
This Board Bill seeks to approve a Chapter 99 Redevelopment Plan and Blighting Study for the 909 Chestnut St. Redevelopment Area. The project consists of the renovation of a commercial building. The development will have 306 apartments, 300 hotel rooms, 288,000 sf of office space, and 37,000 sf of retail, at the cost of $300 million. This Board Bill will allow up to fifteen (15) years of tax abatement (5 years based on 95 percent of the assessed value of the incremental improvements and followed 5 years based on 75 percent of the assessed value of the incremental improvements and followed by 5 years based on 50 percent of the assessed value of the incremental improvements).
