A proposed bill that requires employers to provide meal periods and rest breaks to employees; establishing notification and posting requirements; prohibiting retaliation against any employee for reporting violations; providing for noninterference with collective bargaining agreements; providing authority for rules and regulations; establishing records retention requirements; providing for penalties; containing a severability clause; and containing an effective date clause dependent upon restored authority of the City to regulate rest periods for employees.
