Summary

This Board Bill, recommended by the Board of Estimate and Apportionment, authorizes the City of St. Louis Treasurer's Office to accept Cities Addressing Fines and Fees Equitably (CAFFE) Program grant funds of up to an initial amount of $10,000.00, plus a subsequent anticipated amount up to $35,000.00 for project implementation, by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with the National League of Cities for the purpose of working with Municipal Courts and the Mayor's Office to create a financial empowerment program; appropriates such funds to the St. Louis Treasurer's Office; authorizes the expenditure of such funds, to the extent received; and contains an emergency clause.
