Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Grant
Summary
This bill would authorize the Department of Public Utilities to accept grant awards in the amounts of $400,000.00 and $5,050,000.000, from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) administered by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) for the grant purposes to help water systems achieve the health protection objectives of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) by improving drinking water treatment facilities, fixing leaky or old pipes (water distribution), improving source of water supply, replacing or constructing finished water storage tanks, and other infrastructure projects needed to protect public health; appropriating such funds to the Department of Public Utilities; authorizing the expenditure of such funds to fulfill the obligations of said grant, to the extent such funds are received; and containing an emergency clause.
