BOARD BILL NO. 52 INTRODUCED BY ALDERWOMAN DONNA BARINGER, ALDERMAN KENNETH ORTMANN An ordinance providing for and directing the submission to the qualified electors of the City of St. Louis a proposal to increase the motor vehicle license tax rates to provide revenue for the City of St. Louis to fund the Crime Reduction and Professional Policing Fund, as established by Ordinance No. __________________, the purpose of which fund is to pay for hiring and retaining police officers, investing in programs to prevent and reduce crime, and training officers in community policing, customer service, bias recognition, mental health and policing a diverse city; and to amend ordinance #59754 adopted pursuant to Section 301.340 RSMo. and codified in Title 17 of the Revised Code of the City of St. Louis; amending the provisions of Section Four of said ordinance, as and replacing said Section Four to read as contained herein, and containing an emergency clause.
