President Lewis E. Reed joined brewers and employees of Anheuser-Busch Brewery for World Environment Day 2018 this past Friday.
This year, employees cleaned up along the Missouri River at the Columbia Bottoms Conservation Area with help from Living Lands & Waters and others.
Since 2010, Anheuser-Busch has worked with the River Network to host community events to help improve the quality of rivers and watersheds in communities by engaging thousands of colleagues in community-based river cleanups and other activities that support the environment. This year, Anheuser-Busch will host more than 20 river and watershed protection projects for its colleagues and strategic partners across the country.
In October, the Board of Aldermen unanimously passed Resolution 124 - which committed the City of St. Louis to 100 percent renewable energy by 2050. Anheuser-Busch was one of the first local companies to commit to 100 percent renewable electricity by 2025. Local organizations, such as Anheuser-Busch, are helping to move our region forward.
