Assessor’s Office Employees Donate $2,000 to Local Charities
The St. Louis Assessor’s Office raised $2,000 for charity, donating $500 each to four local organizations this holiday season.
Every year, the City of St. Louis Assessor’s Office employees donate $1 to be able to dress down on any workday with the proceeds going to local charities. With 60 employees, those donations add up week after week, and this year amounted to $2,000.
The Assessor’s Office Charity Committee seeks out and reviews local charities as potential recipients. The committee puts forward several charities and then the assessor office employees receive a ballot to vote for four winning recipients. For 2024, four recipients are receiving a $500 donation.
This Holiday Season the Assessor’s Office donated $500 each to the following charities:
- The Little Bit Foundation
- Real Estate Tax Assistance Fund (RETAF)
- North Newstead Association
- Good Ground Pantry (2nd Presbyterian Church)
