Summary
CDA is seeking to procure architectural consulting services to ensure that housing and non-housing construction projects comply with CDA design guidelines, the Fair Housing Act Design Manual, and applicable local building Codes.

The selected architectural firm will collaborate with the Cultural Resources Office (CRO), developers, and project architects to ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal historic preservation guidelines and requirements, including Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.

CDA seeks an architectural firm that will contribute to environmental mitigation solutions and design reviews to assist developers in navigating the array of local, state, and Federal requirements with minimum difficulty and verify design-related cost reasonableness.

As special projects arise, CDA may require its architectural consultant to provide additional professional services, including, but not limited to, the preparation of architectural drawings, development of technical specifications and bid documents, and assistance with contractor procurement and selection processes, as requested by CDA.

Key health and safety, durable and sustainable materials, and compatibility with surrounding urban fabric. Every CDA funded residential project follows a careful planning process to ensure that these parameters are addressed, and that the project proceeds in a manner consistent with current plans for neighborhood development. The process of Design Review is a coordinated effort including the following agencies:
