Comptroller Darlene Green's Statement on RAMS Settlement Money

Taxpayers deserve to know that their elected leaders will come together and do what is in the best interest...

As Comptroller, I voted to sue the RAMS, and we won!

I support using those RAMS dollars to draw matching dollars to invite investment to downtown, to rebirth and rebuild North St. Louis, and to shore up areas South. We can do that and support working families with their child care costs.

Accepting matching dollars in a public-private partnership offers a compelling case to leverage the RAMS money to expand our reach to invest in City infrastructure, water system, and our working families early child care costs.

Taxpayers deserve to know that their elected leaders will come together and do what is in the best interest for our neighborhoods, businesses, and working families.

I want to commend Aldermanic Black Caucus Chairwoman Pam Boyd and Greater St. Louis, Inc. for listening to the community, thinking creatively, and acting boldly to bring massive investment to North St. Louis and the Downtown Core.
