Another Celebration for Let's Move STL

It's that time of year again when we get to celebrate the anniversary of Let's Move! - a comprehensive initiative launched by First Lady Michelle Obama, dedicated to solving the challenge of childhood obesity within a generation. Let's Move! is about putting children on the path to a healthy future during their earliest months and years.

We are marking the third year of the initiative with a bang! The City of Saint Louis Department of Health will host the "Let's Move! STL - So You Got Moves Expo" on Saturday February 9th at Vashon High School from 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. This fun and active day will include 3-on-3 basketball, different forms of dance, and double-dutch jump-roping. Various health organizations and area programs will be providing health and safety information, cooking demonstrations, and healthy living activities for all participants. The event is free and open to the public.

Check out our website: http://www.healthinstitutestl.org for additional information and to register for the day. You may also contact Melissa Ramel at RamelM@stlouis-mo.gov or 314-657-1571.
