Winter weather is returning to the St. Louis region, and the City of St. Louis is working across departments to prepare. Today’s weather events will drastically drop temperatures overnight through Tuesday, and increase the probability of high winds and snow this evening.

With the forecast for precipitation and frigid temperatures, the Street Department will have a crew on standby this evening and overnight in the event of any accumulation and to monitor bridges and overpasses in the event of freezing surfaces.

With the likelihood of strong winds, individuals in or near compromised housing should proactively seek stable shelter.

The City’s Code Blue Executive Order ended on March 1, 2026, but the City has worked with community partners to support the City’s unhoused. View shelter and transportation options.

Please call 211 if you or someone you know needs access to shelter space.

The City of St. Louis will review actions over the past five months as it plans for the next winter season and continues to improve its services for St. Louis residents.
