Firefighters Candlelight Vigil Tonight

Remembering firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Fire Chiefs, firefighters, family and friends will gather at 8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Sept. 8 at the Firefighter Statue in Poelker Park at Tucker and Market Streets to remember their co-workers and loved ones who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.  

Dignitaries and speakers at tonight's Firefighters Candlelight Vigil will include: Jackie Hummert, Angela Martin, Laura Morrison, Darnita Riggins, St. Louis Fire Chief Dennis Jenkerson, High Ridge Fire District Chief Mike Arnhart, Harriett Vaucher and others.  

The names of those firefighters being remembered this evening were gathered from Fire Departments located within the metropolitan St. Louis area, including the Metro East.
