Contractor Registry for Repairing Tornado-Impacted Homes
If your home was damaged in the tornado and you would like to hire a professional contractor to perform repairs, you can choose from a City-assembled list of licensed and insured contractors.
Overview
If your home was damaged in the May 16 tornado and you would like to hire a professional contractor to perform repairs, the City of St. Louis has created a registration process for contractors interested in working in the tornado impact zone. Residents can utilize this list to help in their hiring decisions.
If you are a contractor interested in working within the tornado-impacted area of the City of St. Louis, you may apply to be on the registry.
Registry Information
On the registry, residents can view contractor details. If the contractor has submitted documentation, but it has not yet been verified by the City, the contractor status will read “Submitted, not Verified.” Documentation includes a valid business license with the City of St. Louis, a current certificate of insurance, and any trade-specific certifications. When a contractor submits documentation, they will receive a conditional placard from the City. This placard will contain a QR code without the City Seal.
Once the contractor has been verified by the City, the contractor status will read "Verified Contractor.” This verification does not serve as an endorsement of the quality or timeliness of contractor work by the City. It lets you know that they are a valid local business. After verification, the contractor will receive an official placard that contains a QR code with the City Seal.
