Sign Up for a My City Account

To use a social account to log into the City website, you will need to have a Google, LinkedIn, or Microsoft account and know your username and password.

The authentication process will take you through cityofstlouis.us.auth0.com. That url is official and secure.

1. Select the Sign Up option for the application you wish to use, such as My City or OneStopGov.
2. Select Continue with Google, Continue with Microsoft Account, or Continue with LinkedIn.
3. If you are not already logged into that account, you will be prompted to log in.
4. The screen will ask you to confirm that you want to use your account to log into the City website, and will tell you what information from your account will be shared with Auth0. You will need to approve this.

Once you've successfully linked your account, you'll be logged into the City website. You'll use this same process each time you need to log in.

A passkey allows Auth0 to authorize you using a USB security key or a smartphone or tablet.

1. Select the Sign Up option for the application you wish to use, such as My City or OneStopGov.
2. Enter your email address and click Continue.
3. Select Create a passkey.
4. Select which method you would like to use for authentication.
   • If you select iPhone, iPad or Android device, you will be asked to use your device to scan a QR code to authenticate you.
   • If you select Security Key, you'll need to insert your security key into the USB port on your computer.

Each time you log into the City website, you will use your email address and passkey to authenticate you. 

Your email address will receive a verification email to prove that you own the account. Verifying your email address is required for some features to be available.

Signing in with an email address and password requires you to remember your credentials.

3. Select Continue without passkeys.
4. Enter a secure password that you can remember and select Continue.
