2013 New Year's Resolution: Be Happy at Work
The New Year is the perfect time to make a change in your work life.
This article is 12 years old. It was published on January 1, 2013.
It's that time of the year when people resolve to exercise more, eat healthier, stop smoking and to make countless other changes in their life for the New Year. I recently came across an article that suggested that a good New Year's resolution would be to be happy at work. According to the article, "If you're happy at work, you'll have a better home life, feel re-energized, be more productive, and enjoy an overall better quality of life."
Here are some of the tips you may want to try to in the coming year to find happiness at work:
- get your priorities in order
- focus on what you can control
- make a difference (all of us have the power to make a positive impact in our community in 2013)
- strive for balance (schedule regular time for yourself with family and friends. Take time to rest and recharge.)
