Dear City Employee - May 2011
For May in St. Louis think: Cinco de Mayo, Truman Day, Annie Malone Parade and plenty of Memorial Day weekend activities
This article is 14 years old. It was published on May 1, 2011.
Mark your calendars! One of this year's Cinco de Mayo celebrations in St. Louis will take place on Saturday, May 7 on Cherokee Street. City Hall will be closed two Mondays this month: Monday, May 9 in observance of Truman Day and Monday, May 30 in honor of Memorial Day. The annual Annie Malone Parade is scheduled for Sunday, May 15 in Downtown St. Louis. The Rib America Festival, St. Louis African Arts Festival and Memorial Day Ceremony will all take place during the Memorial Day weekend.
The deadline for June Newsgram is Wednesday, May 18. I encourage all City departments to continue to find news items to publish monthly in Newsgram. Ideally, every department will designate one person to submit for publication staff news, photos, information on events and any information you would like to share with your fellow City employees. Tell everyone what's going on!
