Enrollment Extended for Buy-Up Long Term Disability

The City implemented Long Term Disability insurance in April 2013 and recently had an open enrollment period for Buy-Up coverage. Employees who enrolled between May 13 and May 31, 2013 had deductions made on the payday of July 3. However, many employees were not aware of the enrollment period so it is being extended through July 31, 2013. Employees who enroll in Buy-Up coverage by July 31 will not be required to answer any health questions and coverage will be effective Aug. 11, 2013.

All forms must be submitted to the Department of Personnel, Employee Benefits Section, 1114 Market Street, Suite 900, no later than Wednesday, July 31, 2013.
