Fire Department Promotions
Congratulations to the new Captains, Battalion Chiefs and Deputy Fire Chief!

At ceremonies at Fire Department Headquarters last month, several long-time members of the department were promoted. Congratulations to:
- Battalion Chief John Altmann who was promoted to Deputy Fire Chief. Deputy Fire Chief Altmann has been with the Department for 32 years and will be the shift commander for the C-Shift.
- Captains Bethany Green, Mike Richardson, and Gary Steffens who were promoted to the position of Battalion Chief.
Pictured from left to right: Battalion Chief Gary Steffens, a 27-year veteran of the department who has been assigned to 806 in the northwest part of the City near Baden on the C-Shift; Battalion Chief Michael Richardson, a 25-year veteran of the department who has been assigned to Fire Department Headquarters; and Battalion Chief Bethany Green, a 25-year veteran of the department who has been assigned to 804 in the Dutchtown neighborhood on the A-Shift.
