Mayor Slay Presents Zell and Runde with 40-Year Service Pins
Longtime City employees recognized for years of loyal service to the City and people of St. Louis

During a brief ceremony at City Hall last month, Mayor Francis G. Slay presented two longtime City employees with 40-year service pins.
Ed Zell began his career with the City in 1974 with the Health Department and has served in the Water Division, Comptroller's Office, Federal Grants Section, Air Pollution Control. For the past 19 years he has served at Lambert Airport. Ed is most proud of his 22 years on the Employees Retirement System Board of Trustees, serving 11 two-year terms.
Steve Runde started with the City in June 1974 as a Staff Engineer with the Water Division. He became Deputy Street Commissioner in April 1981 and was promoted to Traffic Commissioner in August 1993.
