Description

Join us for a unique virtual edition of the annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Celebration. This year’s presentation is inspired by depictions of Dr. King and the civil rights movement by the Pulitzer Prize–winning photographer Moneta Sleet Jr. Local Black artists will respond to his photographs from the Museum’s collection through music, dance, and theatrical performances.

View the on-demand program beginning on January 18 at slam.org/mlkfreedomcelebration.

This program is supported by the Dana Brown Endowed Fund for Education and Community Programs.
