Widely regarded as one of the greatest living flamenco guitarists, Juan Carmona comes to the intimate Blue Strawberry for a night of unparalleled flamenco music. During Juan’s last visit to St. Louis, he played his composition, “Sinfonia Flamenca”, with David Roberts and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. On this visit, Juan Carmona comes to the Blue Strawberry Showroom and Lounge, with food and drink at tables and chairs. For one night, St. Louis’s Blue Strawberry will feel like a flamenco bar in Seville. French guitar virtuoso Juan Carmona is one of the leading figures in flamenco as both a composer and a musician. Although deeply connected to his Andalusian roots (Carmona is related to the Habichuela flamenco guitar dynasty from Granada), Carmona stands as an innovator. He is one of the most creative guitarists of the new flamenco generation, garnering Latin Grammy nominations for Best Flamenco Album of the Year five times.
