Description

A night with Owen Ragland and crew is guaranteed to be chock full of relaxed grooves and swinging jazz, with neo-soul, hip-hop, and even electronic influences. Although originally from Saint Louis, Ragland now lives in New York City so the trio will be coming back together for this special evening. The Owen Ragland trio is Ragland's resident band featuring other highly skilled young musicians featuring Keith Bowman on Drums and Tilton Yokley on Bass. Keith is a mainstay in the Stl music scene. Since graduating from Webster University, he has completed two international tours with singer Tonina and recorded on countless records. Bassist Tilton Yokley has played with Ragland since 2015 touching the stage at Loufest 2017 and the Zappos campus in 2019. His distinct bass sound provides rhythmic variety and harmonic counterpoint to the trios sound. The trio formed as part of the 2018 Kranzberg Arts Foundations Music Artist-in-Residence playing every third Friday at The Dark Room and has never stopped playing since. The group plays many of Raglands original works showcasing his jazz influence as well as bringing in other influences such as soul and R&B.
