Description

A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for the City of STL from midnight Saturday 1/14/24 to noon on Tuesday 1/16/24.

Bitter cold and strong winds will surge into the region Friday, plunging temperatures into the teens/single digits and wind chills well below 0° through Wednesday morning.

  • Rain will briefly transition to snow Friday afternoon as a strong cold front moves through the area.
  • While any snow will be short lived, there is a chance (30%) that brief moderate snowfall and the strong winds could reduce visibilities and impact travel.
  • Temperatures will fall below freezing across the state Friday and stay below freezing until Wednesday.
  • Dangerously cold wind chills will fall below -15° starting tonight over parts of northeast Missouri Friday night, with parts of northeast and central Missouri and west Illinois having wind chills below -25° and -40° at times between Saturday night and Monday night.
