Type: Community Event
Admission: Charge. First, Second, and Third place winners from each age bracket receive a placement medal. Registration comes with a t-shirt and participant medal. There will be a kid's fun run for ages 10 and under, and you can even bring your dog! Dog registration includes a stylish bandana. Snacks and refreshments provided.
Description
Head for the Cure is a non-profit brain cancer research organization hosting it's 12th Annual 5k Walk/Run- St. Louis on June 23rd in Forest Park-The Muny! Funds from this event will locally benefit brain cancer research efforts at Siteman Cancer Center at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. It is a family friendly event for all ages, with kid's entertainment such as a bubble bus and face painting, snacks and refreshments, local vendors, and more! There will be a program following the race honoring brain cancer survivors, caregivers, and healthcare heroes, as well as a Celebration of Life tent honoring those we've lost to brain cancer.
