Celebrate THE LOVE Mural with a Ribbon Cutting, Live Music & Tea Dance! Join us for the official unveiling of the LOVE Mural at Platypus Bar in The Grove as part of the St. Louis Mural Project! This vibrant new mural, created by artist Lisa Marie Thalhammer, is a symbol of love, community, and St. Louis' thriving spirit. We're celebrating the incredible energy of our community volunteers who came together to paint this masterpiece. When: Sunday, August 4th, 11:00 AM-2:00PM with Block Party Then continued party inside at Platypus 3:00 PM- 6:00 PM Where: Platypus Bar, 4501 Manchester Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110 (Located in The Grove neighborhood) Schedule: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with speeches featuring: Lisa Marie Thalhammer, Artist Alderman Michael Browning Representatives from Park Central & STL Arts 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Grab a drink and enjoy the new mural! 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Tea Dance with Live Music by Po Mia! Plus: Platypus will be open all day! Enjoy delicious complimentary Liquid Death water and light snacks outside. Celebrate the love and community spirit that makes St. Louis special! The St. Louis Mural Project, funded through ARPA for the Arts Initiative and powered by the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis, is transforming the City of St. Louis by placing 28 murals across the city – 2 in each of the 14 wards. This visionary initiative and historic investment in public art embraces collaboration, beautification, and support for local artists.
