Description

21c Museum hotels will host a monthly community discussion over coffee event in the Billiards room, bringing together local stakeholders, community leaders, educators, parents, and concerned citizens. The primary goal of this event is to facilitate an open dialogue focused on identifying and discussing solutions to improve the lives of those in the St. Louis region. The 911 system has long been a cornerstone of emergency response in our communities, but it's increasingly clear that the current approach doesn't always serve everyone effectively. From mental health crises to nonviolent incidents, many situations demand a different kind of response—one that prioritizes care and de-escalation over enforcement. Join us at 21c Museum Hotel Saint Louis for an intimate Coffee Talk, where we'll dive into the conversation on how we can reimagine our emergency response systems to better meet the needs of all community members. This event, held in partnership with Forward Through Ferguson, will feature a panel of experts and advocates who are working on the front lines of this crucial issue. We’ll explore the intersection of public safety, social justice, and community-driven solutions, with a focus on how we can shift from a punitive to a supportive model of emergency response. Whether you're a concerned citizen, a community leader, or just curious about the future of public safety, this discussion will offer valuable insights and inspire action. Location: Billiards Room at 21c St. Louis
