Description

The competition, sponsored by Merryvale Vineyards and hosted by Maxi Glamour (St. Louis multidisciplinary drag and queer artist as well as local elected official), will feature the top five cocktail creations, chosen from submissions. These talented local bartenders will go head-to-head in a live finale, crafting innovative cocktails using Merryvale Antigua dessert wine. A panel of expert judges will evaluate the drinks based on creativity, balance, approachability, and overall taste. Event Highlights: • Live Cocktail Competition: Witness the artistry and skill of St. Louis's best bartenders as they compete for the title of Dessert Wine Cocktail Champion. • VIP Experience: Enjoy an exclusive one-hour wine tasting with early access (doors open at 11:30 a.m.), plus admission to the competition and a complimentary drink at Platypus. ($50 early bird, $75 if purchased later). • General Admission: Doors open at 1:30 PM. General admission tickets include a complimentary drink ticket for Platypus. ($35 early bird, $40 at the door). • PROMO Benefit: A portion of all ticket sales will directly support PROMO’s vital work in defending and expanding LGBTQ+ rights. • EatDuckbill Food: Delicious food will be available for purchase from EatDuckbill. •FUN TAKE AWAYS • Product Sponsorship: Pinnacle Wine & Spirits has generously provided product for the competitors. • Cash Prizes: Three winners will be awarded cash prizes.
