Description

The Dred Scott case was one of the most important cases ever tried in the United States and it was held right here in the Old Courthouse. The first two trials of the pivotal Dred Scott case were held in 1847 and 1850. The Supreme Court decided the case in 1857 and soon after the Civil War began. Join us at the Arch and Old Courthouse during Saturday and Sundays in February. All of the Black History Month programming is FREE. Reservations are not required.
