Description

I hope you can join me for one of these two special nights! Musical storytelling has been such a blessing in my life. I’m honored to make music with two of the most talented pianists in town, both sharing the keys, Pops (Adaron) Jackson of Jazz St Louis and my partner Scott Schoonover of Union Avenue Opera. We’ll be joined by a combo and two surprise guest artists, both an asset to the local singing community. Act 1 follows my less-than-normal Coming Out story and my mental health journey while Act 2 focuses on my social work career and I’m sharing some of my bigger social work dreams in front of an audience for the first time. My attitude for both evenings: I’m Calm!!! Anthony Heinemann is a student of social work, drug counselor, teaching artist, singing artist, creative, a proud member of the queer community, and dreamer-of change. He’s sung locally with Union Avenue Opera, The St Louis Symphony and Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. Nationally Anthony has performed with Opera for the Young, Charlottesville Opera, and internationally as a finalist of the prestigious Lotte Lenya Competition. Anthony dabbles in many mediums including leather work, storytelling, and sculpture. He is excited to make his Blue Strawberry debut with some of the best musicians in St Louis.
