Description
The Shirley Bradley LeFlore Foundation is launching its program, Poetry In Motion: St. Louis Poets Take The Mic, in celebration of Black History Month. The first installation, “UNAPOLOGETIC D9 AND HBCU VOICES” is on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the High Low Listening Room, located at 3301 Washington Avenue in St. Louis, featuring poets, writers, visual artists, musicians, and scholars. Hosted by Dr. Jason Vasser-Elong, the evening aims to honor and celebrate the Divine Nine (D9) African American fraternities and sororities, as well as Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), recognizing their important roles in public service, community empowerment, and academic excellence.
