Description

Renowned photographer Henry Horenstein makes a stop in St. Louis in support of his new book "Miles and Miles of Texas" and the 20th anniversary reprint of his book "Honkey Tonk: Portraits of Country Music". Event will include a book talk + a short film screening + a book signing. Free and open to the public. Henry Horenstein has taught photography at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) for the last four decades. His book "Black & White Photography: A Basic Manual" became the go-to textbook for introductory photography courses after its publication in 1974. Over the course of his career, Henry has used his camera to chronicle a wide range of American subcultures and everyday life. His work can be seen at: https://www.horenstein.com/stills
