Description
Terry Jones Rogers is best known in the St Louis Metro Area, as one half of ROGERS & NIENHAUS, Band or Duo, as well as a founding member of 4&20~CSNY Tribute, The Real Macaws (including OMD Supe Granda), and former member of The Byrds featuring Michael Clarke. Terry grew up in the music rich town of Macon, GA and began his musical journey at the age of 5 years old performing with his family gospel group. Numerous bands followed through his time in Macon, including many years with The Pound & Rogers Band, recording at Capricorn Studio with famed producer Paul Hornsby and later at Pyramid Studio in Chattanooga, TN with British producer Michael Stewart. In November of 1993, Terry relocated to Nashville, TN, where he soon formed The Byrds Celebration with Skip Battin, following the untimely passing of Michael Clarke. Acting on a recommendation by Supe Granda, Scott Nienhaus was invited to join the newly formed group which included Skip Battin’s old bandmate Gene Parsons and they soon embarked on an extensive European Tour. In 2006, Terry once again relocated, this time to St Louis, MO after Nienhaus returned there to his hometown. A decades long singer-songwriter, Terry is dedicated to his craft and will be performing original music as well as a few favorite covers by his numerous influences through the years. Accompanied by 2 great local musicians, Bill Murphy on piano and accordion and David Torretta on bass guitar, this is a not to be missed and rare performance! Terry will be joined by some great musicians for this show including Bill Murphy, David Torretta, Aaron Burblow and Chris Fabick.More Information
