SLAM Cinema—Go West!

Overview

Description

In Buster Keaton’s 1925 silent comedy Go West!, a lonely, down-on-his-luck drifter nicknamed “Friendless” heads west on a freight train and stumbles into a job at a California cattle ranch. Despite having zero cowboy skills, he earns the undying loyalty of a cow named Brown Eyes after removing a painful pebble from her hoof, sparking an affectionate partnership. When the rancher ships the herd to the Los Angeles stockyards, Friendless refuses to abandon his bovine friend and boards the train with her, eventually leading a herd of cattle through the city. The film will be accompanied by a live, original score by The Rats & People Motion Picture Orchestra. Not rated, 1 hour 23 minutes.
