Public Safety’s Project Safe Neighborhoods 2021 Program Grant
Summary
This Board Bill proposes an ordinance recommended by the Board of Estimate and Apportionment authorizing the Police Commissioner, on behalf of the City of Saint Louis, to enter into and execute a Grant Agreement with the Missouri Department of Public Safety's Project Safe Neighborhoods 2021 program to fund the training of officers in the Gang Task Force as well as needed supplies for the unit and equipment, which began with the 2019 Project Safe Neighborhoods grant, appropriating funds therefore, and authorizing the Police Commissioner, or his designees, to enter into contracts and expend the funds, to the extent received; containing a severability clause and an emergency clause.
