Board of Aldermen of the City of St. Louis affirms its Support for Kaldi’s Coffee Employees to Unionize

NOW THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, that the Board of Aldermen of the City of St. Louis affirms its support for the right of Kaldi’s Coffee employees to organize and engage in collective bargaining free from intimidation or retaliation, consistent with federal law. The Board of Aldermen urges Kaldi’s Coffee ownership to remain neutral in the union organizing process, to voluntarily recognize the union upon a showing of majority support, and to refrain from any anti-union activities and engage in good-faith bargaining with their employees once they have chosen to unionize.
