NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Aldermen of the City of St. Louis affirms that access to adequate, affordable, nourishing, and culturally meaningful food is a basic human right, and commits to advancing citywide food and nutrition security by coordinating across departments; investing in equitable policies and programs; embedding food access and resilience planning into capital, land-use, and infrastructure decisions; prioritizing regenerative and climate-smart practices; and collaborating with community organizations and residents—especially those in historically excluded communities—to build a sustainable, equitable, and resilient food future for all St. Louis residents.
