Every year, the City of St. Louis Assessor’s Office employees donate $1 per day to be able to dress down with the proceeds going to local charities. With 60 employees, those donations add up, and this year amounted to $2,000.

The Assessor’s Office Charity Committee reviews local charities as potential recipients. The committee puts forward several charities and then employees vote for four winning recipients. This year, the Charity Committee only considered charities that have been part of the tornado response and recovery.

Assessor’s Office donated $500 each to the following charities:

  • Mission St. Louis
  • Real Estate Tax Assistance Fund (RETAF)
  • Invest STL
  • All Hands On Deck
