Guidelines for submitting complaints and requests for issues related to sanitation.
Overview
Community Sanitation responds to complaints and enforces local and state regulations for a variety of health hazards. The following can be reported to Citizens Service Bureau for investigating by Community Sanitation.
- Hazardous waste - exterior
- Inspect hotel
- Inspect outdoor swimming pool
- Noise complaint for construction (unacceptable levels of construction noise between 10 pm and 7 am)
- Smoking ban violation

Preparation
When submitting a request for service, provide the following:
- The exact street address or intersection where the problem is occurring.
- An accurate description of what you have observed.
- You may include photos if you have them.
The more accurate the information provided to us, the more accurately we can report your concerns and get an efficient response.

- Begin by going to the CSB Request a City Service page and selecting the appropriate service request

What to Expect
After filing your request, CSB will give you a service request number and advise which City department is going to respond to this request.
We will also provide a date by which we expect to have a response from that department.
Responses may indicate the completion of work or may indicate that an inspection has been completed and the responsible party has been issued a violation notice.
You may contact CSB after the target response date to find out the status of your request.
You may also find basic information about the status of your request online.
