Child Lead Testing Services

Information on how to request and obtain lead testing services for children six and under


Lead testing services are available for children under the age of six who reside in the City of St. Louis.

Services are provided on a walk-in basis from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with the exception of lunch hour (approximately 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.). Testing is done Monday through Friday, except on city holidays.

Total testing procedure takes approximately 1 hour.


Must be a City of St. Louis resident with a child under six years of age.

 Service is free.

What to Expect

 Testing consists of a simple finger stick and can be completed in approximately 1 hour.
