Today, the City of St. Louis Department of Health announced it has expanded its partnership with Nomi Health to open two additional testing locations at 2800 Chippewa Street and 5515 Dr. Martin Luther King Dr. (Friendly Temple Church). These new sites will continue to assist in relieving testing demands from area medical facilities.

“These two additional testing sites will strengthen our network of trusted COVID-19 testing locations making access to testing more convenient to many St. Louisans,” says Dr. Mati Hlatshwayo Davis, Director of Health for the City of St. Louis. “St. Louisans can check the Department of Health’s website for a list of COVID-19 testing locations set up by the State, City, and trusted community partners.”

On January 11th, the City of St. Louis Department of Health announced the opening of a new COVID-19 testing location at 1520 Market Street. The Department of Health announced its partnership with Nomi Health to provide the testing services at the site and to increase capacity to up to 1,000 tests per day. Additional testing opportunities take stress off of hospital ER systems, helping them focus on caring for the sick.

"Expanding access to testing continues to be a core part of how we all learn to live with COVID as safely as possible, giving us personal peace of mind and empowering us to keep our communities safe and open," said Josh Walker, COO and co-founder, Nomi Health. "Nomi Health's model has enabled us to open hundreds of sites to support easy-to-access, no-burden testing nationwide, and we're proud to serve St. Louis and to work with the Department of Health in that mission."

Whether as a tool to guide quarantining or isolation, for peace of mind, or as an employment requirement, testing for COVID-19 is a critical mitigation strategy in the fight against SARS-CoV-2 and preventing the spread of the virus. Considering many SARS-CoV-2 infections are being transmitted by asymptomatic individuals, testing is critical to protecting people from COVID-19. Visit the COVID-19 Public Testing Locations website for a complete listing of trusted COVID-19 testing locations in the City of St. Louis recommended by the City of St. Louis Department of Health.
