St. Louis Story Stitchers

Empowering youth through the arts, leadership, and mentorship—St. Louis Story Stitchers provides a safe space for creativity, growth, and community impact.

Program Overview

St. Louis Story Stitchers provides programs that promote excellence in the arts, youth leadership, and community outreach. Activities focus on strengthening leadership skills, peer-to-peer education, adult-youth mentoring, resilience, and pro-social behaviors like civic responsibility. At the Center, Story Stitchers' home base, youth have a safe space to connect through video games, music, and social gatherings.

They receive mentoring and coaching from experienced artists, gaining hands-on experience in the performing arts, including podcasting and music production. Beyond the arts, Story Stitchers empowers youth with teamwork exercises, public speaking, project management, performance skills, marketing, cultural training, and job readiness.

The program is funded by Prop S for 2025.

The programs are operated by St. Louis Story Stitchers: https://storystitchers.org/

Program Eligibility

The program serves youth who are residents of the City of St. Louis who range from 6 years old to 25 years old. Please note that youth who are involved with guns, gangs, and use or sell drugs are not eligible.
