The Village Youth Mentoring Program
The Village Youth Mentoring Program offers positive role models and encourages personal growth for young black men in the community.
Program Overview
The Village's youth mentoring programming features long-term academic and violence prevention support for young black men during the academic year. The curriculum, based on four pillars of manhood: experience, joy, pride, and labor, is designed to stretch comfort zones, encourage curiosity, and lead participants to discover their natural abilities through mentoring, entrepreneurial exploration of the business community, volunteer opportunities, post-secondary exploration, and in school academic support services.
The program is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The program is operated by The Village: https://www.thevillage314.com/
