SLATE MCC Announces First Hospitality Virtual Recruitment Event

SLATE Missouri Career Center (SLATE MCC), a service provided by the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE), will conduct a Virtual Recruitment Event, a 2-week long recruitment event designed to connect qualified job seekers with open positions in the local hospitality industry.

All job seekers registered with Missouri Career Centers are invited to participate. Participants will be able to apply online for a wide range of positions from participating employers, such as Lodging Hospitality Management, Lumiere Place, Drury Plaza, Embassy Suites and Four Seasons.

The Virtual Recruitment Event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 29, 2013, at SLATE MCC – Downtown: 1520 Market St., St. Louis, MO 63103.

There is no cost to participate. SLATE Career Center asks job seekers to bring their resumes, cover letters in electronic format and two forms of ID. Once here, SLATE Career Center staff will guide participants through the recruitment process and help them apply for jobs on employer websites.

SLATE Career Center staff will assist participants to complete and post applications correctly. Employers participating in the Virtual Recruitment Event will collect electronic copies of resumes and schedule interviews in the near future.
