Report problems related to the City of St. Louis drop-off recycling centers or recycling roll carts.

Overview

The City of St. Louis Streets Department appreciates reports of problems with recycling. Department personnel may already be aware of a problem and working to resolve it, but sometimes your report is what's needed for the City to learn about a problem.

August 15, 2025: The City has ended alley recycling due to ineffectiveness and high costs. Constituents with alley recycling dumpsters should use our Drop-Off Recycling Locations. Roll cart recycling will continue.

Use the Trash, Yard Waste, & Debris category to report problems with existing alley recycling dumpsters (container out of position, trash needs emptied, etc.

Preparation

Since the City has ended alley recycling, you may report a problem with: 

  • Recycling centers/drop-off locations
  • Roll carts

What to Expect

You will receive an email with a request ID number.  

You can use the number to check the status of the service request.
