Apply for the Advisory Committee for Tornado Response

Residents or business owners impacted by the tornado, or community members serving those impacted are invited to apply to serve on the committee.

If you are a resident or business owner impacted by the tornado, or a community member serving those impacted, you are invited to apply for the Resident and Community Advisory Committee for Tornado Recovery. This committee will advise Mayor Spencer and the newly established Recovery Office on the City's recovery vision and priorities after the devastating May 16th tornado.

This committee is expected to meet two to three times this year and four times next year, each session lasting 90 minutes to two hours. Additional working groups will be formed as needed, with some emails and follow-up work conducted in between meetings. 

Applications will be open until September 10 at 5 p.m. Central Time. You will be notified within three weeks of the application closing if you have been selected to serve.

Selections will be made to ensure representation across impacted neighborhoods, among demographics of those impacted, and from people with different challenges presented by the tornado.
