Building Assessments

The City of St. Louis Building Division is making assessments to determine if properties are safe for entry or dwelling. Homes will be marked with color-coded stickers to inform residents and the public about the structural condition of the property.  

Property Damage Assistance

Request help with things like roof tarping, board-ups, electrical work, debris removal, tree services, compassionate demolition, or other services.

FEMA Disaster Assistance

Individuals who sustained damage or losses in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis and St. Charles counties may now apply for FEMA disaster assistance. Learn more.

United Way

Submit the United Way disaster intake form to request assistance with general unmet needs (food, water, financial assistance, transportation, etc.) in addition to home damage. This intake form is for individuals and households only; businesses should continue utilizing the SLDC assessment form.

Red Cross

The American Red Cross of Missouri is here to help people who may be experiencing major roadblocks to recovery after the May 16, 2025, tornado in St. Louis. In addition to meeting the community’s basic needs of food and shelter, financial assistance is available to those who have qualifying damage. In order to apply for financial assistance, please review and complete the Red Cross financial assistance form.
